How to store glue in winter?

The unopened glue should be stored in a dry and cool room as much as possible. If the conditions are not available on the project site, protective measures such as snow, rain, and sun should be adequately taken. The sealant can be avoided by covering the canvas during storage. The sealant temperature is too low.

Why is there a white glue line at the splicing part of the board?

1. When splicing wood has defects in processing accuracy, the glue line formed by filling the defective parts with the splicing glue.

2. When the pressure of the jigsaw machine is insufficient or uneven, the glue of the jigsaw can be fully squeezed out of the rubber particles or glue lines, and a white glue line with glue retention is formed.

2. Gluing time is too long or the open time after gluing is too long, causing the glue line problem caused by the false adhesion formed by the formation of the glue layer.

3. The white glue line formed by the overtime use of the jigsaw glue or the low temperature of the jigsaw wood will cause the glue to condense and penetrate poorly, and the glue layer stays.

What is the standard wood moisture content?

The moisture content is 8-12%. The moisture content error of adjacent wood on the same panel is not more than +/- 1%, and the deviation of wood moisture content on the same panel is not more than +/- 2%.

1. The particularity of wood (anisotropy) The shrinkage/expansion rate in different directions is different, and the stress produced is different.

2. The bonding of substrates with different moisture content will cause the height difference of the interface (the ends of the assembled boards are prone to cracking)

How to make the surface of the substrate smooth?

The wood gluing surface should be flat, smooth, oil-free, and not curved; the adjacent two sides of the wood jigsaw glue should be at right angles; the processing error of the wood gluing surface should not be greater than 0.1mm; keep the wood gluing surface fresh. The processed substrate can be assembled within 24 hours. 1. The active groups on the surface of the wood; the oil/resin inside the wood oozes; the wood deforms under the action of external force. 2. The storage time of the base material in the workshop is too long, and dust and other substances are easy to layer on the splicing surface.

Why should the glue be stirred well?

The mixing ratio of glue and curing agent (in strict accordance with the manufacturer's standard ratio), the glue and curing agent must be fully stirred evenly. Usually electric stirring is about 40 seconds, manual stirring is about 2 minutes.

Focus on full mixing to ensure the bonding strength and weather resistance of the board. On the contrary, it is easy to crack and reduce the water resistance of the assembled board.

What is the reason for the cracking of the board?

When the furniture that has not been dried or does not meet the requirements of the moisture content standard is put into the market or used in the home, it will not withstand the test of climate change, and it is easy to produce wood grain shrinkage, burst (gluing), loose structure, and surface paint. The phenomenon of layer separation, whitish color and mildew. When the assembled boards are placed for a period of time or when the storage environment changes, it is also one of the main reasons for the glue opening of the ends of some boards.

What is the reason why the glue dries slowly?

Glue coating amount: The glue coating on the wood glued surface should be even (the glue thickness is 0.2 mm), and the glue coating amount is usually 250-300 g/m². Usually, when the glue extruded from the glue seam under suitable pressure is a continuous bead or a thin glue line, it means that the coating amount is suitable. Once the amount of glue is insufficient, the glue will dry slowly.

What is the reason why the glue does not dry?

Wood is composed of many kinds of cells. Cells have cell walls and cell cavities. All the cell cavities of wood and the capillaries in the cell wall form an intricate capillary system. The moisture and grease in the wood exist in these capillaries. Once the moisture content in the wood is too high, the space left for the glue to penetrate the capillary system will become smaller, and the glue floating on the surface of the wood will have nowhere to go, resulting in a phenomenon of non-drying.

What is the reason for the black glue line?

Wood is composed of many kinds of cells. Cells have cell walls and cell cavities. All the cell cavities of wood and the capillaries in the cell wall form an intricate capillary system. The moisture and grease in the wood exist in these capillaries. Once the moisture content in the wood is too high, the space left for the glue to penetrate the capillary system will become smaller, and the glue floating on the surface of the wood will have nowhere to go, resulting in a phenomenon of non-drying.

What is the reason for the poor weather resistance of spliced furniture?

The wood used in furniture has not undergone wet and dry treatment, degreasing and dehydration-the dry and wet stability of the wood needs to be balanced. After the balanced plank is aged for less than one month, the moisture content of the wood fluctuates greatly, and the internal stress of the wood is relatively high. In addition, insufficient bonding strength of the jigsaw glue and incorrect operation process will cause the weather resistance of the finished product to be weak.
